It has been decided to revert the September dressage competition back to it's normal progressive format. Spaces are still available in all classes. See dressage page for classes.

ECRC AGM is October 20th at the Cross Keys, Llanfynedd. We neeed nominations for the Members Award for this year which is specifically a member nomination for another club member. Please can you let either myself, Janet or Pat, haveany recomendations. You can also leave a message via the Comments & Feedback page. Thanks

Also we need last years trophies and shields to be returned to a committee member as soon as possible. W have various rallies and competitions in the next few weeks if you can drop them off with us.

Area 20 Cross Country Sunday October 3rd at Llanymynech (training session see below)
7 - 10 show jumps followed immediately by 15 - 28 Cross country fences, (not likely to be 28 more like 15-18)
Novice and Pairs - max height 90cm
Open - max height 1.00m
Entry fee, 2 cheques:-
£25 made payable to 'ECRC', £30 per pair if entering pairs.
£6 made payable to 'ECRC' - this cheque will be destroyed if you compete on the day.

Include your name, horses name (as it appears on its vaccination certificate), which class you wish to enter and please include all contact details including your mobile number.
Please check that your vaccination certificate is up to date.

XC training has been arranged by Shrewsbury RC on behalf of members of A20 at Llanymmech on Saturday 18th Spetemeber 2010. Starting at 1pm, with Sarah Warner, @ £12 per hour. Places are limited. All levels catered for with groups of 4 for 1 hour. Open to A20 members only. Entries on a first come, first served basis. Please specify your preferred level to the organiser who will try to accomodate accordingly. Cheques on acceptance of application, payable to Shrewsbury & District RC. We can now supply quality polo shirts, ladies and gents, and ladies Shires fitted waistcoats with our club logo on the front. Polo shirts are £8.00 and waistcoats are £30. They are navy blue and available in various sizes. Please contact Janet if you are interested in purchasing any. The riders and crew bought them for the horse trials championships and looked really smart. No doubt they will be worn proudly by our members at future events if you would like to see before you buy. Photos will follow on new page to be titled 'Club Merchandise' shortly.

Please note: East Clwyd Challenge Show Jumping competition to run alongside the SJ competition on October 31st. This is usually an interclub team challenge but this year we are opening it up to non-members who wish to enter a team of 4, one rider in each height. The usual SJ will also take place if you wish to take part as usual. £5 per class (£20 per team) but entries, for ALL riders, will have to be in advance, for all classes. For more details click here

Riders are advised to check the website before leaving for any ECRC events in case of cancellation, some of which might be on the day.

East Clwyd Riding Club was formed in December 1974 for the benefit of local riders and has regular membership of around 150. We are a seniors only club and affiliated to the BHS, Area 20 in 1977. Members come from a large area around North Wales and Cheshire for the facilites and training we provide. Our club venue is the Equine Unit at Northop College of Horticulture, just off the A55 at Northop. Should you need directions, please see the 'How to find us' page. We hold dressage and showjumping competitions every month which are open to all and members enjoy the added benefits of rallies and clinics with specialist trainers. We also hold social functions for members, the favourite being Somerford Park Camp held annually. Our teams, of which any member can be part of regularly compete at Area 20 competitions and if you fancy joining in a team, please see the Committee page for the relevant organiser.

We sometimes also hold qualifier competitions for local Championships so check the diary dates for the heats.
