Rallies are group lessons in either dressage or show jumping. The aim is to improve horse and rider confidence by using experienced instructors who take a special interest in the discipline that they are teaching.

All rallies are currently held on a Friday evening from 6.30pm onwards at Northop College, Mold (just off the A55). There is one flatwork and one showjumping rally per month. The cost is £14 per person per lesson. The aim is to have 3-4 in a flat work rally and up to 4 riders in a show jumping rally. The running costs are covered if each lesson is full. Bookings are made to Sandra Zachary (see newsletter) on the appropriate form. If rallies are full a short wait list is taken. Riders are put into an appropriate class for the level at which they are riding. Where possible we try to accommodate people who cannot get to Northop early. We do experience a lot of interest in both flatwork and showjumping rallies at certain times of the year, so please book early to avoid disappointment!

Sarah Warner BHSI, has evented to Advanced level and 'dressaged to PSG level.

Adrian Wong is a dressage trainer and one of our regular dressage judges.

Michael Owen is a professional event rider and has competed at Advanced level.

Kate Negus, now Kate Taylor, has been teaching and coaching show jumping for the last 17 years since giving up competing herself due to a brain haemorrhage. Originally trained by Duncan Inglis & based at Hickstead All England Show jumping for 10 years, she experienced Show jumping at the finest level and had the opportunity to be coached by some of the greatest trainers of their day. Coaching is about understanding what is needed to produce the best results between each individual horse & rider. Kate prides herself on giving each student the very best of her experience to help them achieve what it is they aspire to, from a simple clear round, to winning a BSJA open. Her Show Jumping clinics will offer advice and test you both, without placing your or your horse's
confidence at risk.

Paul has trained with Stephen Clarke, Calman De Jurenak, and Sue Bradshaw, with whom he still trains. He is a member of the British Dressage Regional Trainers Club (formerly Pyramid Trainers), benefiting from seminars and training events with top class trainers such as Carl Hester and Ferdi Eilberg. He is also the British Dressage North Wales representative, sets set up clinics with Spencer Wilton and is determined to bring other "names" to the area and to open up opportunities to more Dressage enthusiasts in North Wales.          www.paul-davies.co.uk
