About East Clwyd Riding Club

East Clwyd Riding Club was formed in December 1974 for the benefit of local riders and has regular membership of around 100.

Affiliation

We are a seniors only club and affiliated to the BHS, Area 20 in 1977.  Members come from a large area around North Wales and Cheshire for the facilites and training we provide.

Venues

Our usual club venues are Coleg Cambria Northop Equine Centre, just off the A55 at Northop, and Tyddyn Farm Equestrian.

Events & Competitions

ECRC hold dressage and showjumping competitions monthly from February to December which are open to all. Members are eligible for reduced cost entry fees. Members also enjoy the added benefits of rallies and clinics with specialist trainers.

We also hold social functions for members, the favourite being Somerford Park Camps, usually in May and August.

All members are actively encouraged to join teams for Area 20 qualifiers in all disciplines. There is no elite selection process – everyone is welcome to have a go! If you fancy joining a team, please see the Committee page for the relevant organiser.
